introducing our christmas collection: gingerbread, nordic forest and luminous veil
here it is then. the christmas collection.
before we go any further: this is not a case of spraying a pine tree smell into some wax and calling it festive. these three scents were chosen because they each do something specific for christmas, and collectively, they cover the whole range of what december actually feels like.
let's go through them.
gingerbread
this one doesn't need a long introduction. warm, spiced, just sweet enough: gingerbread is the candle you light when you want your home to feel like the holidays have properly arrived. it's a cosy scent, the kind that makes even a grey tuesday in november feel like an occasion.
it doesn't smell synthetic or cheap the way a lot of festive candles do. it smells like something being made from scratch in a warm kitchen. that's exactly what it should smell like.
best for: the kitchen or living room. anywhere that's the centre of activity in december.
nordic forest
pine, clove and a hint of raspberry. if this one surprises you, that's by design. nordic forest isn't a conventional christmas scent. it's not trying to smell like a christmas tree. but if you've ever been somewhere cold and quiet and properly wintry, you'll recognise something in it.
it's the most sophisticated of the three. the kind of scent that makes a room feel deliberately wintery rather than just festively decorated. it works particularly well in a room with candles and low light.
best for: evening gatherings, dining rooms, anywhere you want christmas to feel a little less commercial and a little more atmospheric.
luminous veil
this one is less obviously festive. fig tree, white florals, coconut. and yet it earns its place in the christmas collection because it does something the other two don't: it gives you a bit of quiet in a month that doesn't leave much room for it.
december gets loud. luminous veil is the candle you light when you want to step back from it for a bit. a calm, considered scent for the evenings when you need the house to feel settled.
best for: bedrooms, quieter moments, the evenings between the big occasions.
using all three
you don't have to pick one. most people who come back to blissli end up with a rotation rather than a single scent, and these three are designed to work like that through december.
gingerbread for the busy, sociable evenings. nordic forest for the quieter ones. luminous veil for the moments that are just for you.
that's christmas done properly, we think.
how to get them
gingerbread is a seasonal scent, available as a candle and in wax melt form for december. nordic forest and luminous veil are permanent collection scents that we're spotlighting this christmas because they're genuinely brilliant for this time of year.
find them at blissli.co.uk. if you're buying as gifts, we include a handwritten note with every order.
love, amy.
